• Manual saves: card selections, modifiers, rewards, and counters (no names required).
• Photo saves: an image you upload plus optional notes you provide.
• Retrieval codes: short codes generated to load a save later.
• Basic technical data: IP address, device/browser metadata and similar logs for security and fraud prevention.
• Account data (if you sign up later): email and basic profile info.

Why we collect it

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Game Vault features.
• Prevent abuse and ensure service integrity (e.g., rate limiting, audit logs).
• Analytics in aggregate to understand usage (no sale of personal data).

Retention

• Manual and photo saves: stored for 30 days and then deleted automatically unless linked to an account.
• Logs: retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.

Third-party services

• Google Firebase: hosting, database (Firestore), and storage of uploaded photos.
• Payment processor (e.g., Stripe): for shop checkout. We do not store card details; payments are processed by the provider.
• Analytics/monitoring: privacy-respecting analytics and error reporting to keep the service reliable.

Legal basis (UK/EU GDPR)

• Performance of a contract: to provide saves and retrieval functionality you request.
• Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, service analytics.
• Consent: where required (e.g., certain cookies/analytics).

Data location & transfers

Data may be processed in the UK, EU, and other regions where our providers operate. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).

Children

Our services are intended for adults. If you believe a minor has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
